Minor surgical procedures are performed in the minor theatre, either under local anaesthetic/analgesic or light sedation. Most of the patients managed here are outpatients and as such there is no schedule for these surgical procedures. Theatre staff and the surgeon/doctor work hand in hand to ensure the safety of the patient.  Procedures are always explained to the patients before hand to gain patients confidence and allay anxiety.
