Our Lady of Lourdes Mutomo Nursing School is approved by the Nursing Council of Kenya to train Registered Community Health Nurses (KRCHN)

Admission Requirements: Mean Grade C plain: Biology C Plain: English or Kiswahili C Plan; Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry C minus.

The school envisions being a Center of Excellence in the training of nurses for the health sector. Its mission is to develop is to develop a nursing workforce that will provide holistic, accessible and sustainable quality health care. Students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences so that they can gain a wealth of skills, vast amounts of knowledge, and a genuine love for learning.

The school compound is serenely set, with beautiful colored vegetation, making the ambience admirable in such an arid area. The administration block is spacious, with office space for the Principal, deputy Principal and faculty members. The classrooms, skills laboratory, library and computer laboratory are well equipped, providing a conducive environment for teaching and learning. Accommodation is available for both female and male students. The hostels are spacious and well ventilated to facilitate comfort. Meals are served in the hospital cafeteria. Extracurricular activities are available after class or after work – football, volleyball, long tennis and indoor games. Students participate in these activities on their personal interest and are expected to balance both extracurricular activities and academic curriculum.

Aware that infrastructure alone cannot infuse the vision and passion that guides the school’s development, the school promotes the human spirit and interaction between teachers and students.
