About Mutomo Hospital

Sr. Regina Gichina

Sr. Regina is a member of the congregation of the assumption Sisters of Nairobi. She is a Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse and currently serves as the Diocesan Health Coordinator for the Catholic Diocese of Kitui. 

Felix Kimoli

Felix Kimoli is a holder of Bachelors of Commerce, a CPA (K) member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) and a CPSK, member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretary (ICPSK). He is the founder and Managing Director of Taxplan Consulting Limited. He brings on board a wide range of experience in Auditing Investigations, Taxation, Accountancy and Company Secretarial services, acquired over a span of over 30 years.

William Maema

William is one of the leading Commercial lawyers in Kenya with over 25 years experience. He holds an LL.B Degree from the University of Nairobi and an LL.M Degree in Commercial Law and Intellectual Property from the University of Cambridge, UK. He is the Partner in Charge of the Corporate Commercial Department at Iseme, Kamau & Maema Advocates, a position he has held for the last 15 years.

Sr. Maria Ngui

Sr. Maria is a member of the Congregation of the sisters of Mercy. She is a Kenyan Registered nurse and midwife, with 30 years experience in nursing practice, education and leadership. She is currently the director of nursing education at the Mater Hospital Nairobi.

Rev. Robert Mutui

Fr. Robert Mutui has chaired the hospital board for the last six years. He is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Kitui ordained in 1989. He has served the diocese for the last 26 years in various positions. He also taught in St. Thomas Senior Seminary for 6 years. He is a member of the Trustees of the Catholic Diocese of Kitui as well the Vicar General.

Mutomo hospital appreciates that people are the organization’s most valued assets. A total of about 120 dedicated team of employees make up the work force of the hospital.  The HR department is responsible for the management of the HR  welfare and development in accordance with the hospitals HR manual. Acknowledging the need to be consistent in the provision of quality service, the hospital strives to support both personal and professional  development of its staff. In-house continuous professional development sessions are arranged and carried out on weekly basis.

What do you do with a chocking infant? The support staff undergoing a First Aid Training.


Hospital Management Team

The hospital Management team headed by the hospital administrator is vested with the responsibility of carrying out the decisions of the Board through the day to day operations of the hospital and in line with the mission of the hospital.

Board of Management

The Board recognizes that good institutional governance and management are essential to achieving efficiency and sustainability of health care services and ensures that the hospital’s decision power and core business are managed with integrity, transparency, and accountability. The Board is responsible for establishing goals and policies of the hospital, developing plans and implementing them, and evaluating the hospital’s overall performance. The Board meets four times in a year.
